A Premium Only Plan (POP) allows employees to pay their share of health insurance premiums with pre-tax dollars. You can benefit from reduced payroll taxes, and your employees enjoy increased take-home pay. We help you establish your POP by providing the legal documentation and support to keep your employees’ accounts running smoothly. We believe this is something every employer should consider offering, and with assistance from Higginbotham, it’s easy to implement.
A Flexible Spending Account allows your employees to use pre-tax dollars to pay for qualified health and dependent care expenses that aren’t covered by other benefit plans. Whether you choose our unique “contribution” method or the traditional reimbursement method of paying for your employees’ FSA claims, we process their claims daily, pre-fund disbursements and invoice you twice a month.
We pay claims that your employees email, fax or submit online within two business days via check or direct deposit. Also, we offer your employees debit cards to use at the time of service or point of sale.
A Transportation Reimbursement Program offers employees the opportunity to set aside a portion of their salary pre-tax to pay for certain qualified commuting expenses. It covers all public transit systems (i.e. train, subway, bus, etc.), but doesn’t cover commuter highway vehicles, private vehicles, parking or employees’ dependents. And unlike Flexible Spending Accounts, unused balances can be rolled over from year-to-year.
Used alongside your medical plan, an HRA helps your employees combat the rising cost of health care and allows them to more effectively budget expenses. This plan is fully employer-funded and reimburses employees for out-of-pocket medical expenses and health insurance premiums. Because the reimbursements are untaxed at the employee level, they’re also tax deductible at the employer level.
We pay your employees’ claims within two business days from the time the claim is received for reimbursement via check or direct deposit, then invoice you monthly.
We give you and your employees online access to all plans through HR technology solutions. As an employer, you can view balances and run reports to stay on top of the plans’ usage, while your employees can manage their accounts so your HR professionals aren’t weighed down.
Higginbotham works with your company every step of the way, from education to enrollment. Our specialists host informational meetings at your workplace to help your employees understand their benefits options. We also provide printed and online communications to simplify enrollment and educate your employees on how to become better health care consumers.
A great plan starts with a conversation. Let’s talk about what you need.
