Matt Berry Jr.

Matt Berry is the national leader for Higginbotham’s staffing services specialty practice. He specializes in creating risk-sharing solutions for large workers’ compensation, casualty (liability) and property-driven accounts. As a commercial insurance broker, he focuses on providing subject matter expertise to many of Higginbotham’s clients while serving as a resource to other Higginbotham associates across the country.

He began his career as a claims adjuster for Safeco Insurance in Houston before joining the William Gammon Insurance Agency, where he grew his book of business, leadership skills and expertise to become a partner in the firm. Matt served in this role for 15 years before joining Higginbotham in 2011 through a partnership with William Gammon Insurance.

Matt has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas Tech University. He regularly gives his time and talent to support professional and educational opportunities related to technical, service and sales aspects of commercial property and casualty insurance, specifically focused on the staffing industry.
