Jeff Carlson

Jeff Carlson brings over three decades of insurance experience to his role as Managing Director at Higginbotham, where he specializes in helping clients design benefits plans and insurance coverage that fit their specific needs. He also provides ongoing support to Higginbotham’s Day Two Services® for clients.

His approach is built on relationships. Jeff takes the time to understand each client’s situation before recommending options across business insurance, workers’ compensation, commercial auto and personal lines, including home, auto and life. That same commitment to individual attention carries through every stage of the client relationship, from winning accounts to assisting clients and helping them navigate their benefits plans.

Before joining Higginbotham, Jeff served as Executive Vice President of TrustStar Insurance Services for more than seven years. When TrustStar partnered with Higginbotham in 2022, the fit was natural, as both firms share a philosophy that puts personalization and client service at the center of everything. Earlier in his career, Jeff spent 12 years with Zurich Insurance and worked as an Independent Health Insurance Consultant at USA Benefits Group.

Jeff attended college in Georgia. He and his wife of over 40 years, Cheryl, have two sons, a daughter-in-law and a granddaughter living in San Antonio, Texas.
