Blaine Allen joined Higginbotham in 2025, bringing over two decades of surety and construction risk management experience to the firm. His professional experience includes the rare feat of leading high-performing surety teams as a broker and underwriter. His expertise spans several industries, including construction, marine, private equity, real estate and oil and gas.

At Higginbotham, Blaine curates surety bond programs to support each client’s needs. He is committed to building strong, lasting relationships with clients and carriers. With his vast industry knowledge, he advises businesses on complex surety risks, helping them capitalize on more opportunities and achieve more profitable growth. By taking a listening-first approach, Blaine provides unparalleled results that consistently exceed expectations.

Before joining Higginbotham, Blaine built one of the largest privately held surety brokerages in Texas, eventually selling it to a national broker and becoming the construction and surety practice leader of one of the nation’s largest surety teams, with an emphasis on complex national accounts. He has steadily advanced in leadership roles throughout his career.

Outside work, Blaine enjoys fishing, hiking and cheering on his favorite baseball and football teams while spending time with his wife, Candice, and their two children, Beckham and Genevieve.
