Patrick O’Daniel

Patrick O’Daniel has more than 28 years of experience designing risk management and insurance programs for large commercial clients comprising heavy manufacturing, commercial construction, design professionals and municipal organizations.

Patrick has also developed a reputation as a leader in insurance and risk management for the distilled spirits industry. Since 2001, he has worked with heritage and startup distillers and contract owners to analyze risk exposures and develop risk management and asset protection programs to help reduce operational costs for this specialty industry. Working closely with the London market, he has also developed an exclusive Line Slip through Lloyd’s of London to provide coverage for the bourbon industry’s stock.

Today, his team supports clients and investor groups ranging in size from $1M to $1B, delivering liability coverage, large property placements, workers’ compensation, loss control, captive solutions and, of course, superior customer service.

Patrick previously worked at The Underwriters Group, a full-scale insurance agency with a successful history of serving complex, high-risk clients that partnered with Higginbotham in 2022.

Patrick has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Louisville.
