Michael Avenevoli

Michael began his career at an independent insurance agency in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. He worked as an independent agent, honing his skills in employee benefits strategies and health care cost containment.

He joined Higginbotham in June 2014 and currently serves as a Managing Director, a role in which he helps his team and client companies implement benefits programs that improve employee appreciation for, and understanding of, the benefits being provided. He strives to provide full transparency to his clients and is a trusted advisor for contract review, compliance (ERISA), benchmarking and plan design.

Michael previously held leadership positions at Coventry Health Care and Paychex Insurance Agency. He has two children, is an active member of his church, and enjoys traveling, playing golf and spending time with his family.
