Marty Jones

Marty Jones is a Managing Partner and Real Estate Specialty Practice Leader at Higginbotham. Prior to joining Higginbotham, Marty got his start as an underwriter for Travelers.

Marty’s focus area is the real estate industry, particularly owners and property management companies in the habitational risk space, including associated classes of business. The impact he wants to make in the industry is to equip his clients with the knowledge to address risk activity through insurance. Marty continues to involve himself and his associates in all phases of his clients’ accounts to become an integral part of their team.

Prior to joining the workforce, Marty attended the University of Georgia Terry College of Business, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Risk Management and Insurance.

Marty has also put together 30 captive programs in Bermuda, South Carolina and the Cayman Islands. After seeing the deficiencies in the real estate market, he also created companies related to vendor compliance and captive technology for tenant liability.

Outside of the office, Marty is on the advisory board for Camp Sunshine, a nonprofit organization that enriches the lives of Georgia’s children with cancer and their families through recreational, educational and support programs year-round.
