Joy Simpson

Joy Simpson is a Managing Director at Higginbotham and a co-leader of the Houston business insurance team. She joined the company in 2007 and specializes in insurance and risk management for homebuilders, life science, fine arts and nonprofits.

Joy spent her first eight years at Higginbotham in a technical marketing role, where she gained in-depth knowledge of coverage and negotiated directly with insurance carriers. That experience led her to move into the client-facing side as an associate, where she is able to draw on a rich technical background.

Joy attended the University of Texas at Arlington, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She then attended Texas Woman’s University and graduated with a Master of Fine Arts.

Outside of the office, Joy volunteers her time at a local museum in Houston, the Center for Photography, and serves on their board.
