James Tate

As the owner of Camp Tejas Collective, Sideline Provisions and two restaurants, James Tate understands the importance of a sound insurance plan, and he works with fellow business owners to protect what they have built. From creating insurance programs that best meet their needs to minding the budgets they operate within, James leverages the breadth of solutions Higginbotham offers to protect properties, support employees and nurture the community.

Before joining Higginbotham in 2018, James was President of Butler Carson Tate, a property and casualty insurance company in Lubbock, Texas, where he focused on the insurance needs of the oil and gas, distribution, automotive, manufacturing and construction industries.

James is a proud graduate of Texas Tech University and is a licensed health, life and property and casualty insurance agent in several states.
