Drew Meadows

Drew Meadows brings more than 30 years of insurance experience to Higginbotham, specializing in data center construction and operations. As a Managing Director and Data Centers Specialty Practice Leader, he partners with business owners to identify and manage their risk, negotiate optimal coverage and pricing and meet their daily needs. He has designed and brokered insurance programs for more than $10 billion in data center projects across more than 40 projects nationwide, utilizing construction wraps (OCIP/CCIP), surety bonds, builders’ risk and subcontractor default insurance.

No matter what role he’s serving in, Drew has built his career on one constant: relationships. As he likes to say, “It’s a people business!”

Before joining Higginbotham in 2021, Drew began his career as a commercial lines and surety bond underwriter at two prominent insurance companies, then moved into sales and leadership roles at two large regional agencies. In 2008, he co-founded a boutique agency specializing in franchised restaurants, while also helping launch a Managing General Agency (MGA) for quick-service restaurants, which was sold in 2012.

Drew holds a bachelor’s degree in risk management from the Honors College at the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. His additional areas of specialty include real estate development, multifamily, restaurants and recycling/hauling. He has also been a contributing author to various publications, a guest lecturer at UGA’s Terry College of Business and a guest speaker for the Technology Association of Georgia.

Drew is a devoted family man, happily married with five children and two grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, youth missionary work, singing, coaching, UGA tailgating, classic rock and movies.
