Chuck Thompson

Chuck Thompson is the Managing Director of Higginbotham’s Jackson, Tennessee, office, with over 30 years of experience in all lines of insurance and contract bonds. Chuck honed his skills in contractor-related industries and quickly learned that problem-solving is a secret ingredient to building successful, long-term client relationships. Specializing in the insurance and bond needs of the construction industry and serving as an advocate for his clients gave Chuck a deeper understanding of insurance coverage, helping him better protect their assets and minimize their risks.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Middle Tennessee State University in 1994, Chuck began his career at his father’s agency, Thompson Insurance Group, which merged with Roger Smith’s agency in 1998 to form Thompson & Smith, LLC. There, he helped grow the firm to become one of the largest independent agencies in the area. Thompson & Smith became part of Higginbotham in 2024.

Chuck lives in Jackson, Tennessee, with his wife, Sharyn, and their four children, Luke, Sam, Charlie and Amelia.
