Tyler Smith

Tyler Smith is a Managing Director at Higginbotham, where he leads the firm’s College Station office. Since joining Higginbotham in 2019, he has been dedicated to delivering client-focused insurance solutions and fostering strong partnerships within the industry. Before stepping into his current role, Tyler served as a Vice President of Commercial Lines from 2022 to 2024.

With a client service philosophy rooted in servant leadership, Tyler prioritizes the needs of his clients, teammates and carrier partners. He believes that exceptional service is only possible through strong collaboration and a commitment to working together to protect clients’ businesses.

Tyler earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management from Texas A&M University with a minor in Sports Management. Before transitioning to the insurance industry, he spent six years working in collegiate and professional sports, including two years as the Director of Client Services at Learfield, gaining valuable experience in client relations and business development.

Tyler resides in College Station with his wife, Emily, and their three children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and watching or coaching his children’s various sports teams.
