Susan Archey

Raised in Franklin, Tennessee, and a proud graduate of Franklin High School, Susan graduated magna cum laude from the University of Memphis (at the time called Memphis State University) with a degree in finance. She began her insurance career as a commercial casualty underwriter at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company in Brentwood, Tennessee, and completed their intensive training program.

In 1993, she joined a Memphis-based transportation insurance agency, serving as their marketing director and developing strong alliances with many trucking insurance providers. Seven years later, Susan joined Lipscomb & Pitts Insurance (now part of Higginbotham) in Memphis as a trucking insurance agent and founded its transportation division.

Today, Higginbotham’s transportation insurance practice is a national leader in motor carrier insurance and represents many of the best truck insurance carriers and motor carriers in the region. Susan and her team take pride in advocating for their clients and are passionate about solving the needs of their clients as if they were their own.

Susan strives to stay current on changes in the trucking industry and regularly attends educational seminars and carrier-sponsored meetings.
