Stuart Ferguson

Stuart Ferguson is a Managing Partner at Higginbotham with over 40 years of experience in the insurance and risk management industry. He joined the organization in 2022 through a strategic partnership and brings deep expertise in underwriting, actuarial analysis, captive insurance and business strategy.

In his role, Stuart focuses on leading client problem-solving efforts, staff development, niche expertise, business planning and partnership growth. His approach to client service is built on a “client experience first” mindset, emphasizing that a happy and well-supported team leads to exceptional client service.

Stuart earned a Bachelor of Arts from DePauw University, where he studied economics, business and Russian history, and was a member of Phi Gamma Delta. His professional background includes leadership roles at AIG, where he spent eight years in underwriting, actuarial, captives and risk management across Europe, and at AG, where he served on the Audit Committee for four years.

Committed to community service, Stuart is a member of the Scouting America Lincoln Heritage Council Executive Board and the Young Presidents Organization.
