Steven Capps

Steven Capps joined Higginbotham in 2016 when his firm, Capps Insurance Agency, partnered with Higginbotham. His extensive experience in water and wastewater utility providers and transportation companies helped Higginbotham to expand services to mid-market businesses in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Today, Steven maintains a book of business while providing strategic direction and leadership to his team. He oversees day-to-day operations, cultivating relationships with clients and carriers and driving sales.

Steven has a bachelor’s degree in insurance and accounting from Baylor University. He serves on the board of directors at Pilgrim Bank and Hope Ministries of Northeast Texas, is a member of the Lions Club, is a past president and ambassador of the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce and attends Calvary Bible Church in Mount Pleasant.

He and his wife, Judy, have three daughters and lots of grandchildren whom they love spending time with. Steven also enjoys hunting, golfing and working around the house.
