Scott Shapard

Scott Shapard is a Managing Director at Higginbotham. He joined the company in 2003. As a Managing Director, Scott works with clients to create, customize and implement solutions to enhance overall employee benefits offerings. His core functions and responsibilities require him to listen to the needs of his clients and provide the best resources available through Higginbotham’s carrier partners and internal partners.

His personal philosophy for serving his clients is to stay engaged with the decision-makers to understand their ever-changing needs in their organizations. Scott’s engagement with his clients allows them to concentrate on their core functions while he provides day-to-day services to help manage their overall employee benefits program.

Before entering the workforce, Scott attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1991. While in college, Scott was active in his fraternity and worked outside of school.

Outside of the office, Scott has served on boards for youth sports leagues and booster clubs. He also continues to serve in various capacities at his church, which includes serving the community through outreach ministries.

Scott has been married to his wife, Allison, for over 30 years and together they have two adult children, Jack and Elizabeth. He enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with a wide circle of family and friends. One of his favorite activities is attending TCU athletic events and being part of The Tree of Trust, a TCU football tailgate group that has been together for more than 20 years.
