Peter Benshetler

With his calm, mature demeanor and proactive, people-first mindset, Peter Benshetler fosters strong relationships that generate significant impact for his clients and team. Highly analytical and detail-oriented, Peter strikes the perfect balance of competencies between people, data and ideas.

From the United States Postal Service to The Coca-Cola Company’s office in Shanghai, China, he brings a wealth of varied experiences that make him a strong asset to his clients and team. Peter spent 16 years with Gallagher, starting as a Benefits Consultant and ultimately rising to the position of Senior Area Vice President. He mentored new employees and served on several committees, all while maintaining his own book of business.

Peter has a BBA in Management from Texas A&M University and an IMBA with a double major in Marketing and (Mandarin) Chinese. He also later studied International Business Management at the University of Waikato in New Zealand and Chinese at Sichuan University in Chengdu, China.

Peter resides in San Antonio with his family. When he is not at work, he enjoys hunting, fishing and camping with them. He is also well-traveled, having visited more than 25 countries, including El Salvador, Fiji, China, Japan, New Zealand and Grenada. Stateside, he has visited 48 of the 50 states and 28 national parks. Additionally, Peter has been a United States Coast Guard captain for nearly three decades.
