Matt Campbell

Matt Campbell is a surety professional at Higginbotham. He brings 13 years of underwriting experience, the majority of which he spent at Travelers Insurance. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and led a team of seven across Texas and Louisiana. In his last three years at the company, Matt consistently led all Managing Directors at Travelers in new business production, growing a surety portfolio from $11.5 million in 2022 to an estimated $30 million in 2025.

During his time at Travelers, Matt managed relationships with some of the largest contractors in the Texas–Louisiana region, with aggregate bond exposures exceeding $1 billion.

A Georgia native, Matt earned his undergraduate degree from Boston University and his MBA from the University of Michigan. He also holds the Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding (AFSB®) and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU®) designations.

Matt lives in Colleyville, Texas, with his wife, Sheena, and their two children, Kensington and Clayton. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, golfing, and hunting.
