Mark Rutherford

Mark Rutherford brings nearly four decades of experience to Higginbotham, specializing in financial institutions. He has been with Higginbotham since 2010, serving as a Managing Director and employee benefits practice leader for financial institutions, where he assists Higginbotham team members with prospect meetings and RFPs, provides client references and helps navigate employee benefits for community banks.

Mark is the endorsed partner of the Texas Bankers Association (TBA) for employee benefits, a distinction he has earned multiple times. He currently serves 38 TBA member banks, ranging in size from six employees to nearly 600.

While the endorsement is specific to Texas, Mark’s experience and insight carry weight well beyond state lines. His deep understanding of how banks operate allows him to help structure benefits plans that truly fit a bank’s needs.
