John Freisen

John Freisen is a Managing Director at Higginbotham with more than 30 years of experience in commercial insurance and risk management. He joined the company in 2023 through a partnership with Fountain, Parker, Harbarger & Associates, where he previously served as an owner and managing member.

In his role, John oversees commercial lines account managers and acts as a liaison between the agency and its company partners. His client service philosophy is built on treating every client with the same level of care and respect that he would expect for himself. By actively listening, understanding each client’s unique risks and tailoring comprehensive risk management plans, he works to create solutions that align with their specific needs.

John earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a concentration in Finance and Risk Management from the University of Alabama in 1988, where he was recognized on the Dean’s List for academic excellence.

Dedicated to giving back to his community, John serves as a Deacon at First Baptist Church of Huntsville, where he is actively involved in the Outreach and Communion committees. Outside of work, John enjoys traveling, golfing and spending time at the lake with his family, especially fishing.
