Ed Coker

Ed Coker is a Managing Director at Higginbotham. He joined the Higginbotham family in 1995 as a marketing manager. He later moved into production and then to his current position as a Managing Director.

As Managing Director, Ed is responsible for identifying prospects, delivering insurance solutions and managing Day Two Services® for his clients. Additionally, Ed founded and manages Higginbotham’s life science specialty practice.

When it comes to his personal philosophy for client service, he believes in a “no surprises” approach. Ed likes to keep his clients well-informed and strives to help his clients make good decisions in a proactive manner.

Before entering the workforce, Ed attended the University of North Texas, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Insurance and Risk Management. During his time at UNT, Ed was president of Theta Chi fraternity.

Ed enjoys being involved in his community. He is a board member of a local health care clinic and served as a foster parent to more than 60 children over many years.

Outside of the office, Ed enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also loves to play golf, walk the dogs and take family vacations.
