Drew Apperson

Drew Apperson serves as the Practice Leader for the Dealer Services team at Higginbotham, specializing in commercial property and casualty insurance, risk management solutions and total cost of risk strategies for dealership clients.

Drew joined the firm in 2014 through a partnership with his former agency, where he served as Managing Partner for six years. Prior to that, he spent 11 years as the president of Hilb, Rogal & Hobbs in San Antonio. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in 1987.

Known for leading with humility and acting with integrity, Drew brings a genuine commitment to serving his clients, colleagues and community. His approach to business is grounded in his faith. Meaningful relationships, honest counsel and purposeful work are at the heart of what he does.

Outside the office, Drew is actively involved in the San Antonio community. He volunteers with Scouting America, Big Brothers Big Sisters and San Antonio Sports, along with serving on the leadership board of Northern Hills United Methodist Church. He is also a trailblazer and walking scorer for the Valero Texas Open.
