Bob Stahl

Bob Stahl is a Managing Partner at Higginbotham, bringing over 40 years of experience in commercial insurance, employee benefits and risk management.

His career began at Royal Insurance Company, where he worked in claims and marketing before founding Stahl & Associates Insurance in Florida in 1983. He built the agency from the ground up, serving as President and CEO for four decades while growing the business into the largest privately held insurance agency in Florida. In 2023, Stahl & Associates partnered with Higginbotham.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bob is deeply committed to his community. He is actively involved with Family Reach, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Suncoast Hospice/Empath Health and Directions for Living, and serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations across the region.

Bob remains a respected voice in the insurance industry, serving on the advisory councils of various insurance carriers and regularly speaking at industry and association events on topics ranging from the state of the insurance market to entrepreneurialism. A proud Florida State University graduate, he also serves on the Risk Management Board of the FSU College of Business.

Bob lives in St. Pete Beach, Florida, with his wife, Kathy. He has two children, Brittany and Robby. Outside of the office, he enjoys skiing, fishing, boating and hunting.
