Aro Terrell Umfress

Aro Umfress is a Managing Director and Crane and Rigging Practice Leader at Higginbotham. She joined the firm in 2020, and as a fourth-generation insurance agent, she has deep ties to the industry.

Aro specializes in providing commercial insurance and risk management solutions to her clients to better serve them. She has a technical background in the crane and rigging industry, as she previously worked for her husband’s crane company. Her operational and insurance knowledge of the crane and rigging industry helps her to find the best possible coverage and pricing for her clients.

Before entering the workforce, Aro attended the University of Louisiana, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in geology. She later attended Texas Christian University, where she earned a Master of Science in Geological and Earth Sciences.

Outside of the office, Aro is involved in her community and sits on four different boards.
