Alexander Simm

As a Managing Director at Higginbotham, Alex Simm advises middle-market and complex commercial clients on identifying, mitigating and transferring risk through tailored property and casualty insurance programs. He partners closely with business owners, CFOs and operators to align insurance structures with operational realities, contractual obligations and long-term growth objectives. Alex designs coverage solutions and negotiates with domestic and international carriers to help protect clients’ balance sheets.

Alex joined Higginbotham through a partnership in 2016. He earned a bachelor’s degree in general business from Louisiana State University in 2013 and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order.

Alex and his wife, Summer, have one daughter, Alden, who keeps them on their toes. Outside the office, Alex enjoys golfing, listening to audiobooks and thinking through investment ideas. He is a strong believer in family time, lifelong learning and pursuits that reward patience and discipline.
