Alexander Barthalis

Alex Barthalis is a Managing Director at Higginbotham Financial, where he leverages his expertise in retirement planning and consulting to deliver personalized financial solutions.

His journey into finance began with a deep dive into advanced probability, statistics and actuarial sciences at Rutgers University. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree, Alex began working in the qualified retirement consulting sector in central New Jersey, quickly earning designations as a Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA™) and Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA®) from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries.

He then joined the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, beginning in their Retirement Center of Excellence and rising to become the national head of TPA Services. Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit, Alex relocated to Los Angeles and founded Beverly Hills Pension Planning (BHPP). Under his leadership, BHPP became a leading name in third-party administration.

After collaborating with Dennis Gilbert while working at BHPP, in 2017, Alex decided to transition to a role at Gilbert’s practice, The Gilbert Group, now part of Higginbotham Financial. In his current role, Alex continues to drive innovation and client success with his extensive knowledge and forward-thinking approach.
