George Felts

With over 27 years of experience in the insurance industry, George Felts brings deep expertise in commercial insurance to his role as Managing Director at Higginbotham. He joined the firm in 2020 through a strategic partnership with Lipscomb & Pitts.

George’s extensive industry knowledge has been a key ingredient in creating sales initiatives and market strategies that guide his team. He uses his exceptional communication and decision-making skills to support team growth while fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to help drive company-wide success.

Holding an MBA from Kennesaw State University, George is committed to exceeding client expectations while delivering business success. He plays a key role in shaping the strategic direction of Higginbotham’s operations, leading teams to achieve objectives like sales growth, market share expansion and profitability.

Outside of work, George is actively involved with Turkey Fry Guys, a nonprofit organization that raises funds for local community nonprofits, and volunteers at the Rotary Club. He and his wife of over 30 years, Traci, have one daughter. Family is a central part of George’s life, and he values a balance between his personal and professional commitments.
