Derek Spitzer

Derek Spitzer is a Managing Director at Higginbotham. Derek joined Higginbotham through its partnership with Captive Insurance Group in 2020.

Prior to working at Higginbotham, Derek was the Director of Operations at Captive Insurance Group. During his time there, he helped grow the company, which would eventually pique the interest of Higginbotham.

In his current role as Managing Director, Derek continues to use his previous experience and expertise to help run the firm’s captive insurance operations.

Derek received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Brigham Young University. He currently lives in the DFW area with his wife, Hayley, and their three children.
