David Harbarger

As a Managing Director, David Harbarger serves a broad range of commercial business sectors with clients across the United States, providing strategic guidance to his team and fostering long-term business relationships.

David previously served as a Managing Partner of Fountain, Parker, Harbarger and Associates, overseeing sales and production staff to achieve growth goals, until the agency partnered with Higginbotham in 2024.

David has a bachelor’s degree in building science from Auburn University and maintains designations as a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS®).

As a lifelong Huntsville native, David is active in his community. He served as chair of the Huntsville Botanical Garden and the First Baptist Church, where he led two successful building campaigns, and is an avid supporter of Child Advocacy Centers (CACs), for whom he has developed a national insurance program to help underserved and underfunded offices serve victims of child sexual abuse.

David and his wife, Amy, have three sons, and David spent many seasons coaching their baseball, soccer and basketball teams. Today, he enjoys spending time at Lake Martin, playing tennis and woodworking.
