Micah Rodgers first joined Higginbotham in 2014 as an intern while attending college. After graduating in December 2016, he began working at Higginbotham full-time. At the end of 2018, Micah took a break from the insurance industry to pursue his lifelong passion of professional golf, competing for three years before returning to Higginbotham in 2021.

The discipline, strategic thinking and focus that fueled Micah’s success on the golf course began in college, when he was ranked fourth in the nation while attending Odessa College. He later competed for the University of Louisiana at Monroe, qualifying for and competing in the 2015 U.W. Amateur Championship at Olympia Fields Country Club. Today, those same characteristics drive Micah’s approach to the insurance business, helping him stay competitive, anticipate challenges and deliver winning solutions for his clients and team.

Micah speaks to his clients as he would want others to talk to him if they were in his role. He focuses on delivering tailored insurance solutions that help clients achieve long-term success, with a strong emphasis on risk management strategies.

A graduate of Odessa College with an associate’s degree in general studies, Micah received the Jimmy Russell Award as the NJCAA’s Student-Athlete of the Year in men’s golf. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

In addition to his work at Higginbotham, Micah is the Chairman of the Texas Trucking Association’s East Texas Chapter and holds licenses as a Property & Casualty Agent and Transportation Risk Specialist. He is also active in his community, volunteering with the East Texas Food Bank.

Micah is a devoted husband and father to two daughters outside of work.
